Bite (?) right under where the saddle would go. Horrible/wonderful placement depending on your point of view.

Cut on the inside of lip. Taken 9/8/17. Partially healed, a little bit swollen & a little bit sore. Kick? Biting a branch? Weird. He was good about having it flushed with a hose.

If you were wondering, I did not take this photo specifically for the blog. I wanted to text my medical advisor. He suggested flushing with salt water, flushing with a hose, &/or amputating at the ears. My med advisor does an interesting interpretation of bedside manner. But I digress. Once I had the pic, might as well use it. I did take the back photo for Instagram.
